Change is Inevitably Constant

{ Sunnies from Dickies, Top from Forever 21, DIY ombré shorts }
I used to wear clothes from boys department back in my elementary years and skull-printed shirts and jeans in high school. I was even mistaken as a lesbian due to the way I talk and walk. People (and even myself) thought that there's a slim chance for me to transform into a lady, but then our wild guess proved us wrong. Actually, the present me is gradually embracing the femininity in me which sounds great, so I can discover my new interests and whatnot.
I do believe in the saying, "Change is the only constant thing in this world", and that actually proves my unexplainable transformation throughout the years. Some people find the new me interesting, but I'm sure there are those who're slightly against it. But what can I do? I've turned like this not because of the influences brought by people nor the internet, but because I've chosen this path. Maybe it's time for me to let go of my boyish self and embrace femininity bit by bit.

January Blues

From yesterday's procession.

Just so you know, a lot of things happened this month. From smiles to tears, everything seems to be so mashed up.

***

In one of our exams, I was accused of communicating with my classmate via eye-to-eye contact. My classmate, on the other hand, was accused of staring at someone else's paper when in fact, he was only staring at his test paper. We were deeply hurt by such false accusations. To make things worse, our teacher automatically placed zero on our test paper even without hearing our side! When we approached her, she was mad hearing our side of the story because she's very much certain that she saw us cheating and she doesn't want to appear as the one making up stories! Of course, it was unjust on our part to get that kind of punishment.  As what she said, she doesn't want to judge us, but ironically, she did.

I know it's an unfortunate event for both my classmate and I, but we're confident that we're innocent and God knows we're telling the truth. What's the point of sleeping late at night and waking up early in the morning reviewing our notes when we'll only end up copying our classmate's answers?

This isn't actually the first time that a certain issue sprouted between our teachers and their students. Our teachers can be very abusive of their powers, especially on those students whom they despise the most.

P.S. My mom and sister knows about it and they were actually mad hearing the story, but then, they advised me not to make this issue worse. I'm aware that they're teachers and I'm merely a student, struggling to pass every subject I took this semester. If I continue fighting for justice, I'm sure they'll do some alterations on my grades due to their overflowing hatred towards me.

Forgive me for being melancholic, I just felt bad about that incident (who wouldn't anyway?) and for not being able to enjoy one of the biggest highlights for this year: Sinulog 2013! Screw midterm examination for taking such fun event from us, *** students!

But then, I'm willing to sacrifice temporary fun for a better future. It's alright, self. It's alright. At least, I was able to join the procession yesterday. :)

Books To Read

Currently reading "Let It Snow".

Because I totally broke my real motive for this month, I ended up reading my pending novels one by one. I guess it's not a bad get-away, is it? You know, every time I get the opportunity to read a novel, it totally feels like I'm in a whole new grammatical level. It just boosts my knowledge in grammar up. But whenever I stop reading novels, my English turns crap - which overall sucks.

Currently, I'm so hooked up with John Green's masterpiece. There's really something in his style that tickles my fancy. But then, I have to admit that my interest in reading teenage romance novels is slowly deteriorating. I'm quite tired reading the same genre again and again. I want something motivational, something life-inspiring. One definite example of this would be Mitch Albom's works. I am deeply in love with the way he inspires me, the way his works hit me right through my bones. I'm hoping to have a copy of his other works as soon as classes resume since it'll be the perfect time for me to save my allowance again.
