High Tide to Low Tide: Oslob

Another week of April calls for another adventure. It's certainly a wonderful time to be basking under the sun and fully appreciate the fine sand and calm waves. Well, the truth is that I don't want to get tanned, but I do enjoy swimming and floating in the water while staring at the clear blue sky.

After months of wanting to get back to my favorite element, I finally got the chance to do so with my boyfriend's relatives. Oslob is well-known for whale shark watching and entry point to Sumilon Island.

In order to enjoy swimming with the whale sharks, you need to be there early and prepare enough budget for the fee and swimming gears which you might want to rent. Anyhow, we didn't go there for the whale sharks, but for the sandbar.

We rented a cottage at Aaron's Beach Resort and they also escorted us to Sumilon Island. One of my boyfriend's relatives shouldered the payment for the boat (which I did not expect at all!). Shoutout to Antonette for the treat. Thank you!

Unexpectedly, the sandbar was crowded than we initially thought. I wasn't even able to capture any picture without people photobombing us. We didn't stay in the sandbar for too long because of the influx of visitors coming in.

P.S. There's an entrance fee of Php. 50.00 going to the sandbar.

After fighting for space in Sumilon Island, we spent the rest of the day in the resort. No offense, but Oslob's beaches are rocky – definitely not my kind of beach.

We've somehow managed to drop by an unfinished building named Cuartel and take group pictures before going back to the city.

There's definitely more places to explore in Cebu and Oslob's definitely part of the list of places you want to visit in your stay here.
