Bon Appetea and Simply J's

Today, boyfriend and I had our dinner date at Simply J's to get rid of our curiosity. But before enjoying our dinner delight, we had to face a certain trial as a consequence for arriving the place half hour earlier than their service hours.

Thankfully, such trial turned out to be a new discovery for us. By new discovery means new place to hangout with your friends whenever you want to have milk teas in a secluded place. It's not an eerie-looking shop, it's actually "Bon Appetea".

Post-its

The place was surprisingly quiet. Surprising because tea shops nowadays are a common place to hangout with friends. Tea shops mostly attract college students and young employees with their Korean-inspired ambiance.

Cute candle holder.

Taking pictures while waiting for my boyfriend's milk tea. Thank goodness there were only a few customers around. No awkward-photographer-mode for me!

Creme Brulee

Their milk tea was great (so is Sprockets Café's milk teas); much better than Bubble Bee Tea House's. Nope, I have no plans of joining the milk-tea-addicts bandwagon.

After a few minutes, we left the place and went back to Simply J's, hoping that it's finally open to serve their hungry customers.

Bon Appetea is located a few blocks away from Simply J's or you could visit their other branch in Lahug, right across USP-F.

Simply J's cute decors.

We had to wait for a few minutes before the waiter unlocked the door, but little did we know that the restaurant beside Simply J's is still a part of... Simply J's (so, I'll name it area number two). It was already open to serve their customers by the time we arrived there, damn it. *Face palm*

Reserved table.

This time, the awkwardness inside me aroused upon seeing the gradual increase of customers inside our area (area number two). I had to conceal my awkwardness and pretend not to care about them at all. At least it worked, somehow.

Chicken Cordon Bleu for Php. 180.00.

My order. I had a hard time choosing between Herb Crusted Fish and Chicken Cordon Bleu, but in the end, I settled for the latter since it's cheaper... and I miss eating chicken. The taste of the Cordon Bleu was great, but I guess the size would be too small for those who're into viands. Thank goodness I'm more of a rice person. (Haha)

Chef's Signature Baby Back Ribs for Php. 200.00.

Boyfriend's order. It tasted great and the size of the meat really gave justice to its price.

Simply J's is actually a great place for romantic dinner dates and family hangouts (probably due to its ambiance), but you can still enjoy your dining experience there with your friends. There's no reason not to, you know. :)

Simply J's is located at 10 Apitong Street, Cebu City. It's right across a commercial building beside Parklane Hotel.
